Non-governmental organization “Landmine Survivors Initiatives” organized retrospective exhibition of artworks created at the Regional Art Colony “Arts beyond Barriers and Borders” 2005-2012. The exhibition was opened on December 7, 2012, and will be open until December 21, 2012, at the Gallery of the Cultural and Sports Center in Bugojno. Huge number of guests participated to the opening ceremony, including among other, representatives of government institutions, including mayor of Bugojno municipality, Mr. Hasan Ajkunic, non-governmental and organizations of persons with disabilities, artists and other guests, including several musical performances by the vocal ensemble from Bugojno. Main objective of the exhibition “Arts beyond Barriers and Borders” is to contribute to breaking down prejudices and raising awareness of general public on situation, creative potential and rights of persons with disabilities in BiH, and promotion of equal opportunities and full inclusion of this marginalized group of our citizens into communities and society in general. The art exhibition is one of the activities to mark 20^th Anniversary of work and existence of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (the ICBL), which LSI is member since 1997. The art exhibition is organized thanks to, first of, financial support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in BiH, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, and the International Campaign to Ban Landmines/Coalition for Cluster Munitions. The activities were implemented in cooperation with the Organization of Amputees “UDAS” of Republika Srpska and the Gallery of the Cultural and Sports Center in Bugojno.

On the occasion of marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), non governmental organizations Landmine Survivors Initiatives and BOSPO, in collaboration with Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees BiH, organized a press conference to introduce the information campaign "Equal opportunities for all". Press conference was held on December 3, 2012 in Media center in Sarajevo starting at 10:30. The goal of the campaign is to promote rights of PWDs and the work of the Council for PWDs BiH. In addition, the work of the Council was promoted at the national TV in the TV show "BH danas" which was aired on December 3, 2012 at 5:30 (pm) when the LSI Project Manager together with the member of the Council, Mr. Haris Haveric, spoke about the importance of the implementation of the UN Convention on Rights of PWDs and the role of the Council in the process.

Press conference is one of the activities implemented within the project "Support to the mechanism for protection and promotion of human rights of PWDs financed through the "European instrument for democratization and human rights (EIDHR)- support scheme for 2010". 

On the occasion of marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Landmine Survivors Initiatives, Center for Development and Support and Internet portal „Posao.ba“ organized award ceremony of the campaign „Employer of the Year for Persons with Disabilities in B&H – 2012“. Ceremony was organized on December 4^th, 2012 in Sarajevo (hotel Sarajevo) with participation of the high officials from the Embassy of the Norway in B&H, Minister for Work and Social Welfare of Federation BiH as well as the other distinguished guests from the Government institutions/agencies, non governmental organizations, organizations of persons with disabilities and media. Ceremony was followed by the musical performance of the choir of the Sarajevo Center for blind and visually impaired children and the ceremony hall was decorated with the art works created at the LSI Regional Art Colonies for persons with and without disabilities
